Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. I especially love all the beautiful leaves changing colors and going to the pumpkin patch with my children. These cookies are inspired by that awesome season! Enjoy!
We recently found out that we are expecting and are absolutely thrilled! Since I am usually looking for cookie ideas and am now thinking about babies all the time, it only seemed fitting to make some baby cookies! The hearts in the middle of the "baby boy" and "baby girl" cookies are cut outs and I thought that these sailboats were a good addition to the boy cookies. The baby girl cookies could be cute with flowers and for a baby shower you could do a gender neutral "baby" cookie if you want. So fun! I'm sure that there will be many more baby cookies coming out of this kitchen in the coming months!
We recently took our little boys apple picking and it inspired me to make some apple cookies! I have a few different sizes and shapes of apple cutters so I tried them out. My 4 year old says that the sparkly ones are the best! When we start Kindergarten I think that these will make a great teacher gift!
I recently made a birthday party bouquet for a little boy who was turning 2. Bob the Builder is his absolute favorite so I made this bouquet with 2 dozen regular sized cookies in it. Turns out, they don't make any Bob the Builder cookie cutters but I improvised and I really liked the way that it turned out! Saws, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hard hats, characters (Bob of course) and a personalized birthday cake cookie too! Happy Birthday George!
I made these bouquets a few weeks ago for a baby shower. They were used as the centerpieces for the dining tables and each cookie was a favor for each guest. With 6 large cookies in each back to back they were appealing from both sides and I really liked the way that they turned out! Can you tell that they are having a girl? Pink! Pink! Pink! I love it!
